Honolulu HawaiiLadyEASE, a Hawaii start-up company, will provide particulate respirator mask for the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in Beijing China.
LadyEase was chosen following an innovative presentation of a new designer model of the particulate mask. LadyEASE will provide the mask for all countries participating athletes, stadium participants, vendors, sponsors and suppliers. The mask was originally designed for women, with a modified version made available for the male participants in the Olympics.
Dr. Denyse Ray, mask designer and developer said, “It is an honor to be providing the mask for this prestigious global event”. The LadyEASE mask was created specifically for women after Dr. Ray was a clinical first responder at the World Trade Center disaster on September 11, 2001.
The mask are intended to be used for protection against contaminants from the air and filter out chemicals and gases. They are extremely durable and have a soft and comfortable inner surface. The mask qualify for a 501(k) number for the medical market and can be used for asthma, secondhand smoke, tuberculosis, Avian flu, Bird flu and SARS situations as recommended by OSHA. The lightweight mask, are also designed for comfortable protection against allergens, pollutants and nuisance dust and powders.
The mask are expertly designed with a matching pouch for emergency and daily use.
